Defensive Driving Course

Defensive Driving is essentially driving in a manner that utilizes safe driving strategies to enable motorists to address identified hazards in a predictable manner. These strategies go well beyond instruction on basic traffic laws and procedures.

With defensive driving classes, students learn to improve their driving skills by reducing their driving risks by anticipating situations and making safe well-informed decisions. Such decisions are implemented based on road and environmental conditions present when completing a safe driving manoeuvre.

To become a better driver train in Defensive Driving Course today. It is a two day course that is split into four sessions per day. Topics covered in this course include :

Preventable or Not Preventable
How to avoid an accident with the vehicle ahead
How to avoid a collision with the vehicle behind
How to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle
How to avoid an intersection collision
The art of overtaking and being overtaken
The mystery crash
How to avoid other common types of collisions

Below are the requirements for one to enroll for a Defensive Driving Course :

A Zimabwean Drivers Licence
A Zimbabwean National Identification Card or Valid Zimbabwean Passport

The Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe emerged from the Zimbabwe Traffic Safety Board which originated from a voluntary organisation composed of area associations in Harare (then Salisbury), Bulawayo, Gweru (then Gwelo) and Mutare (then Umtali).
